Breakthrough made in businessman murder case
Investigators in Spanish Town, St Catherine, probing the death of a businessman say they have made a breakthrough in the case, with the detention of one man.

Dead is Aaron Bagaloo, 51, of Ensom Close, St Catherine.

The police told The Gleaner that the 21-year-old male suspect, who has not yet been identified, was picked up near Green Acres where Bagaloo's body was found on Tuesday, July 14. He has not yet been formally charged

The Gleaner was also informed that the police have a strong case against the suspect as several items, reportedly the property of the deceased, were found at the residence of an associate of the suspect.

Reports are that about 3 p.m. on Tuesday, residents in Green Acres, St Catherine, detected a foul odour coming from a house and called the police.

When the police arrived, they went to Central Close in the upscale community and, with the help of the fire brigade, entry was gained and Bagaloo's body, with several stab wounds, was found.

Bagaloo's Toyota Hiace motor truck, his licensed Taurus revolver and an undetermined amount of cash are missing.
