ORLANDO, Florida (AP):

The Denver Nuggets can go into the NBA's All-Star break with the satisfaction of ending a 15-game losing streak in Orlando, having beaten the Magic 82-73 on Wednesday.

Carmelo Anthony had 29 points and eight rebounds for the Nuggets, who maintained their three-game lead atop the Northwest Division and won in Orlando for the first time since the 1991-92 season.

The Magic finished with a season-low in points, a season-high 24 turnovers and were held to a season-low 30.4 per cent shooting from the floor.

Celtics 89, Hornets 77

In New Orleans, Boston made it eight straight wins on the road by defeating New Orleans.

Paul Pierce scored 30 points for the Celtics, who spoiled Chris Paul's return from four games out with a groin strain for the Hornets.

Boston pulled away in the final quarter despite the absence of Ray Allen, who hyperextended his right thumb in the first half.

Jazz 113, Lakers 109

In Salt Lake City, Utah snapped Los Angeles' seven-game winning streak.

Deron Williams had 31 points and 11 assists for the Jazz, who shot a season-high 58.6 per cent.

The Jazz did not score from the field and made just 2-for-8 from the line in a nearly four-minute stretch in the fourth quarter to give the Lakers the lead with just over 90 seconds to play.

Two three-point plays then rallied the Jazz to an impressive victory.

Cavaliers 109, Suns 92

In Cleveland, in his first home game since being named an All-Star, Mo Williams scored a career-high 44 points to lead Cleveland over Phoenix.

LeBron James added 26 for the Cavaliers, who responded to their first back-to-back losses of the season with an impressive showing that notched their 40th win of the season.

Williams went 18-of-26 from the floor as Cleveland outran the speedy Suns, who were without starting point guard Steve Nash, who was rested.

Phoenix will host this weekend's All-Star game and could undergo a makeover before the February 21 trading deadline, with Amare Stoudemire and Shaquille O'Neal mentioned in trade rumours.

Hawks 99, Pistons 95

In Auburn Hills, Michigan, Joe Johnson scored 27 points and Flip Murray had 23 to lead Atlanta past Detroit.

The Hawks' 31 wins represent their best record at the All-Star break for a decade.

Detroit heads into the break after losing three straight.

Raptors 91, Spurs 89

In Toronto, Roko Ukic scored a career-high 22 points as Toronto hung on to defeat San Antonio.

Andrea Bargnani had 23 points for the Raptors, who had to watch as Tim Duncan's attempted game-tying shot on the buzzer missed.

Bucks 122, Pacers 110

In Milwaukee, the hosts inflicted Indiana's ninth straight road loss.

Richard Jefferson scored 22 of his 32 points in the second half to steer Milwaukee home, as Ramon Sessions added 15 points and a season-high 17 assists.

Other results: 76ers 91 Grizzlies 87; Clippers 128 Knicks 124, OT; Bobcats 101 Wizards 89; Rockets 94 Kings 82; Trail Blazers 106 Thunder 92.
