Western Bureau:

With the competition now on in earnest, Exidus FC and Holland FC remain joint leaders in the 2008 Trelawny Football Association's Major League, after coming up with good wins in last weekend's round of matches, which feature six games.

In their match-up with Kings FC, which was played at the Georgia playing field, the high-flying Exidus became the competition's most prolific team, scoring a 2-0 win to move to 10 points.

Holland, who are former parish champions, also moved up to 10 points with their 2-1 win against Harmony FC at William Knibb High School.

Unbeaten run

In another high-profile game played on Sunday, unbeaten Upsetters FC made it three wins from three starts, clipping Flames 1-0 in their much-anticipated match-up a Sea Road playing field.

The game between Exidus and Kings FC turned out to be a hard-fought contest. In the end, Exidus notched their third win in four games, thanks to Zeko Clarke and Roydean Thomas, who scored in the 68th and 77th minutes, respectively.

Upsetters, the only team in the competition with a perfect 100 per cent win-record, had to battle hard to take maximum points.

Despite losing Wilfred Gibson to a red card for violent conduct, they still managed to secure victory through a 47th minute goal from Steve Watson.

In the other games played last weekend, the results were Dromilly beat Kinloss 2-1, Duanvale clipped Palmento United 2-1 while Preston FC drew 1-1 with Brits United.
