Chukka Caribbean Adventures, the Caribbean's leading nature adventure tour provider, in association with Round Hill Hotel & Villas, will host the annual Hanover Charity Polo and High Tea on Sunday, February 15, at Chukka Blue Ranch, Sandy Bay, Hanover, commencing at 2 p.m.

The charity polo match is in its second staging and all proceeds will go towards the Hanover Charities of Jamaica, one of the largest charitable organisations in the island. The match will attract some of the top names in polo, such as Andy Vernon, Kurt Chin, Mark Waites and Leslie Ann Fung-Yee. Two matches will be played: Medium Goal Match - Casa de Oro vs Scotia Wealth Management and a High Goal Match - Round Hill Hotel vs Chukka Caribbean Adventures.

Higher hopes

Last year, the event raised approximately US$18,000 for the Hanover Charities and this year it is hoped that this amount will be surpassed.

Sponsorship has been received from E-Services, Chukka Caribbean Adventures, Round Hill Hotel & Villas, Scotia Wealth Management, Casa de Oro, Billy Craig, Rose Hall Development and Marksman. A number of the major business houses in Jamaica have given their commitment, either in cash or kind.

Hanover Charities is an association that has been benefiting the underprivileged in the parish since 1957 and Chukka Caribbean Adventures is pleased to be associated with such a prestigious event that highlights the sport of polo in Jamaica, in addition to serving a worthy cause.
