WESTERN BUREAU:

Two months after making a statement at Mac's Chop House in Kingston, Montego Bay's Five-Diamond Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall repeated their Client Appreciation event 'Putting on The Ritz', this time, in the tourism capital, Montego Bay.

The Montego Bay business community turned out in their numbers at an absolutely stellar event last Friday night, on the resort's Ballroom Terrace.

Guests

Described in Jamaican colloquial terms, general manager of the resort, Bernd Kuhlen was 'in his ackee' greeting a host of guests, including the the affable Noel Donaldson, regional director in the Office of the Prime Minister; a very-pregnant Tricia Robbins and husband Scott; Ian Dear, head of Island Entertainment; Air Jamaica's Owen Campbell; Digicel's Joy Clarke; Capital and Credit's, Lance Duhaney; the Jamaica Tourist Board's Rose-Marie Johnson; the Tourism Product Development Company's Sheryl Lewis and Pan Caribbean's Ornelle Bedasse.

"The purpose of this event is to extend our appreciation to our valued clients for the business and support received due to your unrelenting confidence in our brand," said Kuhlen, who decided that it was not a night for speeches, but one for vacation giveaways at some of the most fabulous Ritz resorts in Atlanta and Florida.

The event showcased exotic culinary selections prepared by the talented Ritz-Carlton culinary team. These included coconut shrimp satay, Camembert rounds, tuna Tataki, lobster fritters, jerked chicken skewers, smoked salmon biscotto and a sushi and Mediterranean tapas station.

It was an evening of 'liming' and dining, complemented by the enchanting melodies of the Symphonic Duo.
