FLU UNDER CONTROL - Health officials treat H1N1 cases
THE VIGILANCE of local health officials has resulted in the detection and treatment of two cases of the H1N1 influenza virus - commonly called swine flu, health officials disclosed yesterday.

Gay steals show at Reebok meet
World 200 metres champion Tyson Gay stole the show as Americans upstaged Jamaica's sprinters at the Reebok Grand Prix in New York yesterday. The only Jamaican winner at the meet was national junior 100m record holder Yohan Blake who took the men's 'B' 100m race in 10.20 seconds beating Alonso Edward of Panama, 10.22, and Derrick Atkins of The Bahamas, 10.23.

The Kingston leg of the second annual Evening of the Classics held under the patronage of Prime Minister Bruce Golding and his wife, Lorna Golding, was a smashing success.
