The Kingston leg of the second annual Evening of the Classics held under the patronage of Prime Minister Bruce Golding and his wife, Lorna Golding, was a smashing success.

Both local and foreign performers gave of their best, and once again, the audience was reminded of the wealth of musical talent that abounds here. Eleven-year-old Aaron Lawrence delighted with his rendition of the timeless, A spoonful of sugar; songbird Ana Strachan, home for the holidays with the University Singers, gave everyone goosebumps with her melodious voice and Mihae Lee's piano artistry will not be forgotten in a very long time.

Mrs Lorna Golding thanked all her committee members and those from home and abroad who had supported the event from it was an idea.

She also gave a detailed account of how the funds have been spent so far and what projects would benefit from this year's proceeds.
