Jewish congregational leader to conduct workshop this week
United States-based Messianic Jewish congregational leader, Alex Schussler, will be in the island this week to conduct the worship services of The Fellowship of Temple Beth Shalom, a newly formed Messianic Judaism congregation in the Corporate Area.

Schussler will lead the Sabbath eve service on Friday at the Venetian Room, Terra Nova Hotel, 17 Waterloo Road, Kingston 10. The service commences at 6:30 p.m.

The meeting will be free to the public.

Persons who embrace Messianic Judaism believe that Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah of the Old Testament. A distinction of Messianic Judaism is that the liturgy is heavily influenced by Jewish/ Hebraic ways of worshipping.

Schussler is the leader of Beth Tehillah Vetikva (House of Praise and Hope) in Hollywood, Florida. The congregation's website is www.btvfl.org.
