Thousands of pastry lovers converged at Addison Park, Brown's Town, on June 28 for a treat of baked goods and diverse entertainment.

The Betty Crocker High School Bake-off saw the top three schools walking away with more than $70,000 from Wisynco. Brown's Town High, with their cake called Jamaica a Happen, won $40,000 plus a microwave oven from Singer.

The fiesta was not short of well-known personalities as the mayor of St Ann, Ivan Anderson, and MP Othneil Lawrence tried their hands in the Tastee Cheese kitchen but failed miserably, placing fourth and last, respectively.

Begging for more

The day culminated with the fiery stage show featuring Dancin' Dynamites' Mad Lynx, Sandra Brooks, Romain Virgo, who wowed the audience and teased the women, Tifa, who taught the crowd to 'spell it out' and Assassin, who was at his conscious best with lyrics that had the crowd begging for more.

Spice came to perform and that she did, with splits and raunchy lyrics taunting male patrons.

When MC Tricia Spence shouted to the crowd: "Do you want to go home?", deafening shouts of "no" filled the space.

The Betty Crocker Bakers' Fiesta ended only when the music ceased.
