ONCE YOU enter the contemporarily chic Jewel of India Restaurant inside the Market Place along Constant Spring Road, St Andrew, soft strains of Indian music can be heard in the background. For nearly three years, this branch of Jewel of India has been serving Northern Indian food and Indo-Chinese cuisine to their diners. The Ocho Rios branch has been open for nearly a decade. This year for the Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week, Jewel of India hopes to introduce more Jamaican diners to its interpretation of fine Indian dining within a relaxed environment.
