In Jamaica, where everybody throws a party these days, you have to make sure that yours has that little extra to keep the guests coming.
Sake, the brainchild of EyeCandy Promotions, is one such party. So that's why guests at a invite-only affair turned up at New Kingston's newest place for the young and free to hang, Pure, to delve into the Sake experience once more.
Popular 'brand'
Charmaine Wright gets the skinny from Cecil Williams.
Music thumping, liquor flowing and a variety of the Japanese favourite, guests seemed to have fallen in love with the brand and with Pure quickly becoming a popular 'brand' on its own, the combination was a no-brainer. The Sushi Night was the first in a series of mixers that EyeCandy (with help from National Commercial Bank) will be throwing as 2009 rolls into everybody's favourite season; summer. That means much more fun to come (a fine way to get over the depression of recession).
Great food
The beautiful Dominique Davis chills with Roger Graham by the bar.
And even though many of the guests went by the 'Jamaica time' way of doing things (i.e., get their when the moon is in its element), the chefs from Katana Express (who were on-board with Sake from day one) were always busy serving up their sushi creations including the fried shrimp (which was a favourite).
Among those out were Nicholas McDavid, Warren Castle, Christopher Lawe, Cecil and Belinda Williams, Wayne and Sheree Martin, Dominique Davis, April Jackson, Nikolaus Price and Anna-Kaye Chisholm, Jeff Cobham, Natalie Peterson, Michelle Lee and Athena Lewars.
