Reports are that he finished in the top 10 to qualify for round three, which is scheduled for later this month. The Gleaner understands Daley's performance has grabbed the attention of some top international sports personalities who are expected to turn up at today's meet.

Upper class

Currently, Daley is among three karters who competing in the Rotax Mini-Max. But reports are that his connections have made an application for him to begin racing in the upper class, which is the Rotax Junior Class.

President of the JKA, Dave Wong confirmed that an application was made for Daley to race in the upper class.

"But based on the rules, it is a matter that the competition sub committee (CSC) will have to meet and decide on," president of the JKA, Dave Wong, told The Gleaner.

Today's meet is expected to buzz with non-stop excitement in the 80cc and Rotax Junior Classes. Among the karters to watch out for are Mario Mair in the Rotax Masters, Peter Moodie Jr in the Shifter Class and Matthew Williams, Justin Wong and Philip Wong in the Rotax Junior Class.
