The Portland police yesterday destroyed an acre of fully grown Ganja plants at Calda in Passley Gardens, in the parish, during a special operation.
They have also taken three persons into custody in relation to the incident.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dalton Wright, said the police also recovered laptops, wireless routers, cellular phones, binoculars and DVD players.
He is appealing to persons who may have been robbed recently, to visit the Port Antonio police station, to view these items to determine whether any belong to them.
Meanwhile, three men are now in police custody, following the seizure of a handgun and quantities of a powdery substance resembling cocaine, in a car along the Hope Bay main road in Portland, yesterday.
Police sources have revealed that the find was made during a routine spot check and road block set up in the Hope Bay community.
According to the lawmen, three male occupants were stopped during the spot check.
A search of the vehicle revealed a .38 revolver and the suspected drug.
The three men who were travelling in the car were taken into custody.
