WESTERN BUREAU:
Momentum is building in anticipation of the performance by international singer and Grammy winner, Celine Dion, at the Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium in Jamaica.

From as early as 5:30pm Friday, there were long lines of traffic especially along the western corridor of the town of Falmouth, and long queues at the venue for the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival.

Celine, who flew into the island today, is making her debut appearance in the Caribbean.

Both young and mature persons are steadily streaming onto the festival grounds to witness the much-anticipated performance, which has been billed as the highlight of the 2012 staging of the event.

Celine will also share the stage with Nicole Henry, Richie Stephens and Gentleman.
