EDITORIAL - Haiti needs a Marshall Plan
Haiti is not unaccustomed to the world's attention in the immediate aftermath of some disaster, natural or man-made. But it is mostly fleeting. In short order, the focus wanes and the world moves on to the next crisis...

Where's the quid pro quo?
When the eventually stillborn plan by Jamaican financial institutions for the euphemistically labelled liquidity management scheme was in still embryo, this newspaper was championing a debt-restructuring scheme.

NOTE-WORTHY
Shame on you, Dr Ford - Never mind the savage, racist comments by Pat Robertson and Rush Limbaugh about the earthquake-ravaged victims of Haiti.
