TUESDAY TALK - HOT TOPICS ON THE COCKTAIL CIRCUIT AND MORE ...
One man, two families

1. One family in the garden parish and another in the nation's capital! That is exactly how the esteemed one has been living his life. One would never guess when he starts spewing words of morality. Amazingly, both households appear happy with the domestic arrangements. They say no one is being short-changed and a man's got to do what he's got to do.

Tough going for CEOs

2. It's been a rough year for CEOs. There are persistent reports that two more fat cats are about to walk, or perhaps pushed. One is never quite sure which, because in our corporate culture many things are swept under the carpet and the ubiquitous press release hides more than it reveals.

Too much night noise

3. Some people complain that the law is never fair. Take the problem of night noises. A small-timer who puts on a dance is punished with court summons because the music went on beyond 2 a.m. yet people who live in the vicinity of New Kingston are peppered with awful noises week after week and have to suffer the bombardment until 7 a.m. sometimes. Noise nuisance is the same everywhere.

Uptown job

4. Those who felt her acid tongue and experienced her bitchiness when she was on top of the world, are beating a path uptown to get a glimpse of her as she settles into her new position behind the cashier's cage. A reminder that one should always treat people well because we meet them when we are going up the ladder and coming down.
