MVP Track Club, led by former 100 metres record holder Asafa Powell and Olympic 100 metres champion Shelly-Ann Fraser, dominated yesterday's Milo Western Relays with sizzling runs in the men's and women's 4x100m at the G.C. Foster College.

Powell, Michael Frater and Nester Carter, three members of Jamaica's world record-breaking sprint team in Beijing last year, were joined by Ainsley Waugh and the quartet sped to a world-leading time of 38.72 seconds to win the event ahead of Speed Unit (40.12) and the University of Technology (UTech) (40.12).

"I am feeling very comfortable because it was a pretty easy race and we did very well and everything is looking very positive so far," said Powell, after the race.

The MVP women's team of Fraser, Brigitte Foster-Hylton, Kaliese Spence and Shericka Williams won their event with an impressive 43.37, ahead of UTech (44.16) and Atletico Union 50.56.

In the high-schools girls' relays, Manchester, led by national junior representative Natoya Goule, won the 4x800m in 8:50.17 ahead of Holmwood Technical (8:52.38) and Edwin Allen (8:54.73). Holmwood captured the girls' Class Four 4x100m time finals in 48.28 ahead of Edwin Allen (49.21) and Manchester (50.12). Manchester took the girls Class Three event equivalent in 47.05 ahead of Holmwood (47.60) and Edwin Allen (48.61).

Holmwood won the girls Class One 4x100m in 48.39 in front of St Elizabeth Technical (48.86).

In the boys' section, Kingston College (KC), won the Class Three 4x100m in 44.93 ahead of Wolmer's (45.24) and Edwin Allen (45.96). KC also won the boys' Class Four event in 47.18 in front of Wolmer's (47.71) and Herbert Morrison (47.71). Holmwood 43.06 won the boys' Class Two 4x100m, ahead Green Island (43.36) and St Elizabeth Technical (43.80). Wolmer's captured the boy's Class One 4x100m in 41.57 in front of Holmwood (41.80) and Herbert Morrison (41.89).
