What's the latest re Cash Plus?
The Editor, Sir:

Please permit me to state some concerns regarding Cash Plus in receivership. In March 2008, this scheme was placed in receivership by the court, and it is now approximately six months and the depositors have not received any payment nor heard any report as to the findings of the receiver.

Concerned depositors

I am sure all concerned depositors like myself would like to know what is happening. Can the court or the receiver answer the following?

a. The police reported several bank accounts all over the world. Has the receiver tracked these accounts to verify the police reports?

b. Is the receiver or court in the process of retrieving the funds to pay out to the depositors?

c. What is being done with the local assets, namely: sale of properties at Waterloo and Oxford roads; monies which have or should have been returned from cancelled sales, for example Hylton Hotel, Drax Hall, etc?

d. The depositors also want to know if the receiver has received any funds and what has happened to these funds, if anything.

The receiver has been there close to six months and it would be interesting to know whether he has been paid and how much. This is a very important issue. If he is not paid, what are the sums outstanding and what would he be paid for?

When?

The depositors would like to know when we will be in receipt of our funds, as no one is saying anything on our behalf. We anxiously await some report on this fundamental matter.

I am, etc.,
