Melting Pot Restaurant is once again ready to make The Gleaner-sponsored Kingston Restaurant Week (KRW) a memorable occasion for all its customers. This is according to Nicola Madden-Greig, group director of marketing and sales. She says with the right ambience, diners should expect a spectacular time dining out. "The décor is breathtaking, with its glass exterior giving you a feeling of being out under the stars. The hand-stained, articulated, wooden ceiling adds contrast to the glazed, warm, yellow walls. Cosy seating invites patrons to relax."
Perfect setting
She notes that the layout of the restaurant is a perfect setting for intimate dining for two or for groups of family, co-workers or friends.
Focus is, of course, on the dishes offered by restaurants during KRW. Each restaurant is expected to present its best dishes in one package and Melting Pot is said to have a wonderful package. "We looked at offering as wide a variety as possible, with a choice of three menu items for the appetiser and entrée courses. We took into consideration vegetarians, as well and persons who may be a little health conscious, and that is reflected in the choices of, for example, the Rasta ravioli or the sweet potato, calallo and saltfish rolls," boasts Madden-Greig.
Dessert choices
Customers will also get to treat themselves with dessert choices from the decadent Smirnoff and pineapple flambéed crêpes to the créme brûlée trio.
Since the launch of KRW, she says the response has been good and advises that persons make reservations early.
