The Regency Room gives an exquisite ambience with equally appetising food.
The restaurant at Terra Nova Hotel on Waterloo Road, features an old world charm in a majestic interior with antique furnishings and romantic chandeliers that whisper fine dining. The connoisseurs also ensure that the food is equally good.
"It's an opportunity to experience fine dining in surroundings you don't have every day and I think that's what The Gleaner-sponsored Kingston Restaurant Week (KRW) is all about," said Ardelle Dallacosta, a consultant with the hotel.
Favourites
Tried and true favourites with patrons include the Caesar salad, fillet mignon, lamb and the creme bruille.
Known for its Sunday brunch, seafood night and tea, Terra Nova is accustomed to welcoming everyone and according to DallaCosta, it will be no different during KRW. "The owners of the hotel go the extra mile to make sure guests are treated well," she said.
When Food visited, Chef Stephen Salmon whipped up the Caesar salad, sautéed shrimp served with seasoned steamed vegetables and coconut rice, topping it off was a delectable chocolate mousse.
In addition to the complementary KRW Smirnoff cocktail, the Regency Room will be offering complimentary chocolates and a select wine at a reduced price so patrons can enjoy the complete dining experience.
