More amusing and quite interesting is his statement about not having done "any study" regarding such drug interceptions and why this is happening!
The single employee arrested with another discovery at the same location must have the many 'Mr Bigs' laughing.

Tackle poverty
I totally agree with Shanica Blair's letter (Gleaner, October 24) that capital punishment should be resumed. Otherwise, how will you cope on that tiny little island with so much home-grown criminals plus all of those being sent back from abroad.
In fact, I think the ones being sent back should again be put on trial for the crimes they committed bringing shame and disgrace on their country.
For the present moment, prayers alone will not be enough. I suspect mental illness, linked to poverty, is at the heart of much of what is going on, and the solution is to tackle poverty. Start with kindness, which equals love, which brings peace. We are our brothers keeper - you better believe it.

Rockfort Road plan
With regard to fixing the Rockfort road may I also suggest a reformation of the Palisadoes road to include a 30-foot sea wall which would include a walkway on the top with shops all along the wall which would pay the interest on a bond issued to construct the sea wall.
There are many examples of sea walls like this in the Caribbean, Cuba and the Dominican Republic easily spring to mind. This would require moving the shoreline at least 50 feet outwards and moving the road further out on the harbour side to accommodate parking. Food shops such as ice cream and seafood, shops for fishing tackle, etc would greatly enhance the viability of these stores. If done right, this could be a watershed example of investor funded public works that serves the greater good but makes a profit.
