BRIEF: Cop, two others held for robbery
A special constable is among three men arrested for robbery with aggravation in May Pen, Clarendon, Saturday night.

The May Pen Criminal Investigation Branch said about 7:40 p.m., the men were apprehended after reportedly robbing a bar in the parish earlier, before escaping in a waiting motor vehicle.

The getaway car was later intercepted along the Bustamante Highway in the parish.

According to the police, a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a .38 revolver, serial number 3043431, with 12 rounds.

The names of the men are being withheld, pending further investigations.

According to the Anti-Corruption Branch, 56 police personnel have been held for allegations of corruption since the start of the year. Twenty-seven civilians have also been held.
