Late Trelawny custos to be buried tomorrow

Barrett

FALMOUTH, Trelawny:

Deceased custos of Trelawny, Roylan Barrett, will be laid to rest tomorrow in the Falmouth Cemetery after a thanksgiving service at the Falmouth Baptist Church.

Presiding minister will be host pastor, the Reverend Devere Nugent. Governor General Sir Patrick Allen and Sir Howard Cooke, a former head of state, are expected to attend.

King Street, in the vicinity of the church, will be closed to vehicular traffic to facilitate the funeral.

A wake for Barrett will be held in Falmouth Square, and hundreds are expected to cram the event.

Coordinator of the wake, Dennis Seivwright, president of the Trelawny Chamber of Commerce, stressed that the event will facilitate those who would not be able to attend the funeral.
