Caribbean Strikers and Romantic United will contest the Kingston final in the Institute of Sports (INSPORTS) Community Football League, following semi-final victories over Parade Gardens and Banks United, respectively, at the University of the West Indies (UWI) Bowl.

In the opening game, Caribbean Strikers, led by goals from Sean Williams (13th) and Shamari Lynch (15th), defeated Parade Gardens 2-1. Donardo Lynch scored the consolation goal for the losers in the 44th minute.

Romantic United, meanwhile, blanked Banks United 3-0 in the other Kingston semi-final on Sunday. Damion Barrett (31st), Tedroy Jackson (87th) and Rohan Reid (97th) were the goalscorers for Romantic United.

Meanwhile Franklin Town and Jungle Twelve will contest the St Andrew final, following penalty kick wins over Crooks Street and Ayrshire United respectively, on Sunday at the Barbican field.

In the opening game, Franklin Town recorded an exciting 4-2 penalty shoot-out win over Crooks Street, this after both teams had played to a 1-1 draw in full and extra times.

Ricardo Ellis scored for Jungle Twelve in the 60th minute, while Jermaine Valentine equalised for Aryshire United in the 79th minute.

Jungle Twelve booked their place in the final with an exciting 10-9 penalty shoot-out win over Ayshire United, this after both sides had played to 1-1 draw in full and extra times.

Slyvester Falconer, league coordinator, said he expects an exciting final on Sunday.

"These finals are going be very exciting because all the teams are evenly matched and they also play a high quality of football," said Falconer.

"I know that the spectators will come and watch these games because there were big turn-outs at the UWI Bowl and so we are expecting the same at Barbican field," said Falconer.

The winners will advance to the parish finals and the two losers will play off for a spot in the parish final. The final will be played at Barbican.
