Thursday talk
Shift me!

1. The one slated for New York has requested to be sent elsewhere, as the story is he is not prepared for the one who would be eventually in charge, though they would be in different cities! Word is, he is now heading for South America.

Mistress in charge!

2. The wife who moved to Florida was trying to return to the matrimonial home in time for the holidays but the mistress is so settled, even the wife's children are sure they think it's a good idea!

No pay

3. It's not just the announcements of new taxes that has cast a pall of gloom and doom across the face of the country. There are lots of contractors and other businesses that were waiting on the Government to pay them, but all they have received are promises and not much else! This has caused more bitterness and frustration!

Another look

4. The 'literary one' shortlisted to replace the retired one has not found favour with some! They say considerations should be given to at least two who were previously overlooked for the top job, as they both possess the required stature and connections to be effective.

Damaged goods

5. Seems like not all those with a place in the breakfront were in one accord with the controversial taxes. Some objected, but the majority carried the sway. Now they are saying their campaign point man has been left badly damaged by the whole handling of the situation!

Give us Desmond!

6. Some are asking for an immediate Cabinet reshuffle, and that the reshuffle should include Mayor/Senator Desmond McKenzie, as the Cabinet needs some grass-roots input in its deliberations to avoid further tax faux pas.

Little confidence

7. Some financial analysts are saying it was patently clear to everyone but the Government that there would be no IMF agreement by year-end, so they are now questioning the wisdom of those self-imposed timetables that only served to whittle away at confidence in pronouncements!

Doing good!

8. The deportee is quite comfy in his high-paying job, perks and all! Who says knowing people or having relatives in high places does not have its benefits?!
