Another member of the police force has found himself in trouble with the law.
A special corporal attached to the St Catherine North Police Division has been arrested for suspected breaches of the Corruption Prevention Act.
It is alleged that on December 4, a taxi operator of Lime Tree, Spanish Town, St Catherine, was stopped by the special corporal, who requested to see the documents for the motor vehicle.
On receipt of the documents, the special corporal instructed the taxi operator to drive to the Spanish Town Police Station but the driver disobeyed and drove away.
The special corporal was then contacted by a friend of the taxi operator and during their conversation the policeman allegedly requested $6,000 for the return of the documents.
