Former champions Bridgeport High will meet Eltham in today's lone rescheduled Group Two quarter-finals round game in the ISSA/Pepsi/Digicel urban area Manning Cup competition at the Spanish Town Prison Oval, starting at 3 p.m.

Bridgeport are second in the group on three point, three behind leaders Waterford, who have played one more game. They are followed by Eltham and Norman Manley, who are still pointless in the group.

Anthony Patrick, coach of Bridgeport, said that his team will be going all out for victory in today's St Catherine derby.

Extremely excited

"We will definitely be looking to get all three points because this match is very important and we just have to go out there and make sure that we win this game," said Patrick.

He added that his players are extremely excited about the encounter and raring to go, as they look to underline their intentions for the competition.

"We are very confident because we are looking forward to an exciting game from Eltham, and I know that the fans in St Catherine will be coming in their numbers to watch the game," Patrick said.

Bridgeport, who last won the title in 2006, will be depending heavily on striker Darren Mattocks, who has scored 18 goals so far this season, along with midfielders Adoah Nickle and Jamiel Hardware.

Mentally prepared

Meanwhile, Gregory Allen, coach of Eltham, said they would be placing a lot of emphasis on offence.

"We have been playing well offensively but we have been creating a lot of chances and we are not putting them away," said Allen. "We are trying to mentally prepare them for this game and hope that they will get it right."

Allen noted that his players are very confident and once they stick to his game plan they should come on top.

"I think that once we play according to instructions we definitely can win this game," Allen said.
