Prendergast, who is also a member of the Half Moon Bay Fishermen's Co-operative, said if the council's intention of setting up a management structure that includes the co-operative is genuine, then such a move would be worthy of consideration. But, it would have to be presented in black and white. "I would want to see a document; a memorandum of understanding that can be signed off on," said Prendergast, who resigned from the co-operative's executive about two years ago.
