Mel Chambers - 32-year-old realtor

Mel Chambers

My personality, many people have complimented me on it, they tend to feel comfortable around me and that is a blessing because I believe that is important. It is the only way you will be able to get to know the real person, without pretence or long uncomfortable silences. A wise woman once said, "A smile can open a heart quicker than a key can open a door."

How many children do you want and why?

Children need love, attention and positive influence, I would settle for one child so I can give my all to him/her. Looking at the bigger picture, my answer would have to be two, because I believe one child will be lonely and a bit spoilt. I will also need to leave time for my special woman.

What kind of relationship advice did you get from your parents that you value to this day?

I can clearly remember two. Love in our society does not work so well, because so many fall in love with the physical, then try to accept what is inside. They always say, when you fall in love with someone for what is inside a person, accepting the physical becomes easy. They also say couples should do everything within reason to save a good relationship, but if you are constantly trying to save it, then it's probably not a good relationship.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

In five years, I expect to have made some progress in life, because that is what life is all about. We look forward to reaching our goals. Business-wise, I expect business will still be doing well, hopefully even better. As for a relationship, I am looking forward to being settled in a serious relationship that would be major progress. Life is too short to live alone, or in a dysfunctional relationship yet, you cannot hurry love.

How important is religion in your relationship?

My partner must believe in God. I am not the guy that goes to church numerous times a week but I do love, believe in, and respect God. I need a partner who feels the same.
