It was a night of Latin dancing accompanied by lots of wine and cheese at the Latin American Women's Club's annual wine and cheese party held at the Stony Hill residence of businessman Kenny Benjamin, on Friday, September 25.
Some patrons came out dressed in Latin-inspired outfits while others kept it simply elegant. As meeting and greeting were dispensed with, it was party time. First on the floor were Yumail Baudino and Angel Hernandez. They danced up a storm, and soon others followed. Before long, the dance floor was packed with everyone showing off their Latin dance moves.
Former Domican Republic Ambassador Filomena Navarro became known on the social circuit as quite the dancer. She got the chance to boogie one last time before she departed last Tuesday. She will be based at home training others, for now.
While some patrons opted to make it an early night, others stayed behind to dance up a sweat to pulsating Latin, soca and disco music.
