Yesterday, Spencer summoned officials of the ministry, the management of the Southern Regional Health Authority, and the Mandeville Regional Hospital, as well as the morgue workers and their union, to the meeting.
After reviewing the police report on the matter, as well as reports received from the hospital's administration, the health minister said steps would be taken to ensure the incident was not repeated.
In June, Spencer ordered the suspension of the morgue staff at the hospital after the body of the new-born disappeared from the facility.
The baby, one of a twin, was discovered missing after the parents turned up to collect its body.
