Bahamians remanded on firearm charges
Two Bahamians on firearm charges have been remanded in the St Ann's Bay Resident Magistrate's Court.

Twenty-nine-year-old Desmond Hepburn and 37-year-old Glenroy Russell from Nassau, Bahamas, are also on charges of illegal entry into the island.

They were arrested on June 20 after they were found with two illegal guns near the St Ann/Trelawny border.

The men are to return to court on August 18. At that time the immigration matter is expected to be dealt with.

A ballistic report should also be ready, which will allow for the firearm offence to be referred to the Gun Court.

The men were held aboard a go-fast boat with an intra tech sub-machine gun and an M14 rifle with ammunition.
