The female members of the bridal party wore beautiful gowns designed by Uzuri International.

Tamoy Lafayette and Renaud Chin both attended Northern Caribbean University in Mandeville, Manchester, and a brief meeting in 2001 changed their lives.

Renaud was an adventist but Tamoy was not. She was baptised into the Seventh-day Adventist faith in 2002, and they began attending church services together. The rest, as they say, is history.

After seven years of courtship, Renaud finally proposed to Tamoy a week after his birthday in April 2008, over dinner with friends.

Emerald engagement ring

It came as a huge surprise, especially when he knelt on one knee with an emerald engagement ring. She, of course, said yes.

They decided to get married on July 12 in front of 150 guests at The Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall in St James.

A well-decorated gazebo and garden welcomed the female members of the bridal party who wore Uzuri gowns. The bride, wearing a gown designed by Carl Williams of Uzuri International, was escorted down the aisle by her father, Phillip Lafayette

After exchanging vows and signing the marriage certificate, the couple released butterflies as a symbol of their love, followed by a beautiful sand ceremony.

The officiating minister was Pastor Archer assisted by Pastors W. Monteque and Smith.
