Young Webster was one of six successful students who benefited from the Jamaica Police Co-operative Credit Union Savings Revolution Challenge.
Webster Sr started the savings programme with $1,000 and, after securing a house, ended with a net of $96,000.
"The programme has helped me tremendously with restructuring my life, and it allows me to put aside the unnecessary spending. My son's high-school future is secure. His things will be purchased with the money that I won,'' he told The Gleaner.
Nine participants started the programme, with six making it to the final round. The six were all given certificates of participation, plus $10,000 each.
Second place, with a prize of $50,000, went to Stacey Holness and her family, while Dalbert Watson and relatives took third and a $25,000 gift.
The award ceremony was held at the credit union's headquarters at Harbour Street, Kingston, on Friday, July 3.
The Jamaica Police Co-operative Credit Union is the island's fifth-largest credit union with an asset base of $2 billion and membership of more than 12,000.
