National Commercial Bank's (NCB) employees donned sequinned gloves and black and white to celebrate the life and talent of Michael Jackson.
The event dubbed, Thriller, was held on Wednesday, July 1, for NCB's guests to enjoy an evening of Michael Jackson.
"He's one of the greatest artistes of all-time and NCB is one of the best banks in Jamaica so for us it was a no brainier," said Tishan Lee, senior corporate communications officer at NCB. Marketing specialist Nickeisha Barclay said the pop icon's innovativeness was one of the characteristics which the bank identifies with most.
Dress code was Jackson-inspired attire. There were those who complied using more overt statements like a single-gloved hand. Others kept it more subdued opting for simple black and white. They popped against the pristine backdrop of the interior of Pure, on Trinidad Terrace.
Michael Jackson hits
The event was executed with the help of Niche Event Design, while DJ Bambino played a plethora of Michael Jackson hits which span decades. There was a slideshow of pictures reflecting the artiste's life and evolving looks.
Onaje Bell, who portrayed Jackson through dance with back-up from Kameica Reid and Allison McLean, drew applause from the audience once they emerged through the cloud of smoke.
