Starlight vs High Light
It will be a battle between two lights. But who will shine brighter on July 19 is still unknown after Starlight and High Light advanced to the KO finals of the INSPORTS/JN Money Transfer Community Domino competition on Sunday.
In a semi-final double-header at Marverly Avenue, Starlight stunned competition favourites Gold Club 202-187 in a tight contest, while High Light outclassed Almond Tree 250-207.
Gold Club has been the most consistent team in the league, but few doubted that Starlight, who topped Zone One in the league and finished with the second-best record overall, has the ability of overcoming one of domino's most feared clubs.
And by nightfall, Starlight reined supreme, overshadowing Gold Club's defiant efforts.
High Light, who finished third overall during the league's group stages, delivered as expected, romping to an easy win against an inconsistent Almond Tree.

Aggressive Whyte pilots Rosend to victory
An aggressive 78 from Adrian Whyte carried Rosend to a convincing 47-run victory over Enfield at Westmoreland Oval, St Mary, in the SDC National 20/20 Community Cricket on Sunday.
Whyte, who blasted six fours and seven sixes sparked in the afternoon sun in piloting Rosend to 149 for four from 15 overs in a game shortened because of a late start.
Kevin McDermott (36) played an excellent supporting role with Whyte as the pair posted 118 for the second wicket after the first wicket fell with only a run on the board.
Oneil Clarke grabbed three for five from two overs, but by then Rosend had amassed a daunting total in front of a fair-size Annotto Bay crowd.
Enfield failed to change gear afer a pedestrian start in their reply as they reached 102 for five from their allotted overs.
Clarke was again the best performer for Enfield with 27, as the community from eastern St Mary failed to achieve a scoring rate of 10 runs an over.
Everton Perry (21) and Kayon Ashmeade (15) were the other Enfield batsmen reaching double figures along with extras amounting 30.
Nodley Wright took 2-25 from three overs as Rosend booked a Super Eight spot in the Parish Phase.
Elsewhere in the parish, hosts Mango Valley (140/2 from 8.2 overs) thrashed Bonny Gate (137 all out from 14.2 overs) by eight wickets, while 2008 parish champions Top Pen (135/6 from 20 overs) lost by six runs to Port Maria (141 a/o from 20 overs) at Day's Mountain.
