You think Kingston people love to party? Check a little further east!
Like any town, the economic crisis has had its impact on Morant Bay; but that has not stopped people from enjoying themselves.
"Nutt'n nah really gwaan right now, but wi still a tek it easy and enjoy wiself same way," said Evette McGhie.
The bubbly clothes retailer is the 'party girl' of the town, or so her friends say.
"No dance cyaah keep a Morant Bay and she nuh inna it," said Karen, who travels from Kingston to sell her snacks.
McGhie told The Gleaner team that Morant Bay folk regularly went to parties and dances. There are even themed parties; however, a few of the names are a bit too risqué for this publication.

According to McGhie, people love the special round-robin nights at various bars. The only problem is the party fans have to go to nearby York Oval or other venues outside the capital for many of these events.
"Hardly anything happens in the town itself," she said. The popular Colonel's Cove and one nightclub are the most suitable places to have a good party within the town limits.
The Gleaner then got curious about crime, as an active night life, many times, carries with it dark elements.
The young women told us that the level of crime was probably higher than Kingstonians might think, though not as bad as the nation's capital. No matter what goes down though, it doesn't sap the people's energy.
"Morant Bay people are still a fun-loving party people and we just love to go out!" McGhie said.
