Island Jam take-over

Joe Lewis Thomas (left) and former Motown chief executive officer, Kedar Massenburg, of Kedar Entertainment take time out to chill.

WESTERN BUREAU:

He has captured the ears of some five million listeners throughout the United States and last week America's Michael Baisden closed ranks, taking over SuperClubs' Grand Lido Braco in Trelawny with his 'Island Jam Take-Over'.

Promising an exclusive, luxurious adventure where anything was possible and everything was included from the moment they landed in Jamaica, that's exactly what the over 650 come-along guests experienced and more as the New York Times best-selling author and TV talk show personality aired his four-hour afternoon radio programme from the resort's poolside and terrace restaurant on June 25 and 26.

Baisden's all-white Jamaican street party and bad boy birthday bash in Grand Lido Braco's popular village square, featured Beres Hammond and Angie Stone. Seven-time, Grammy-nominated singer/record producer Joe Lewis Thomas was also present. An exciting series of seminars, titled 'Sex, lies, and the law', 'Sexual Kung Fu for men', 'Size matters' and 'Diet for healthy relationships', was also a hit with guests.

Today, Outlook Magazine brings you highlights of the take-over.
