JUTC clamps down
The Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) has launched a campaign to enforce the regulations governing the ticketing requirements of commuters.

The measures are being implemented in an effort to protect the company's operating revenues from internal leakages and abuse by passengers.

Among the breaches discovered are passengers being issued with concessionary $15 tickets despite not been disabled, elderly or children; or ticket stubs being issued in place of genuine tickets. Some passengers have also used expired tickets, the JUTC has said.

Passengers who commit such breaches are liable for prosecution.
