Last Saturday's Derby winning jockey Paul 'Country' Francis has been slapped with a two-day suspension for careless riding aboard LUCKY EDDIE in the second race at Caymanas Park on Saturday, May 30.

Francis was suspended for the interference caused to the highly fancied FIRELINK in the vicinity of the 200-metre point. His suspension will take effect on Saturday, June 27.

Also suspended by the stewards, following disciplinary actions arising from inquiries at the Winchester Road offices of the JRC on Tuesday, were former champion jockey Shane Ellis, Lynford Gayle and Andron Findley.

Interference

Ellis, who rode BIG BARGAIN in the seventh race on Saturday, May 23, picked up three days for the interference caused to MY THUNDER in the vicinity of the 1600-metre point. His suspension will commence on Wednesday, June 24.

Jockey Andron Findley, who rode JACKBENIMBLE last Saturday, was suspended for two racedays for the interference caused to ARCHANGEL in the vicinity of the 800-metre point. His suspension also takes effect on Wednesday, June 24.

Veteran jockey Lynford Gayle, who rode POSSE TRAIN in the third race on Saturday, May 2, was suspended for two racedays for causing interference to STAMP OF AUTHORITY in the final 100 metres, resulting in the disqualification of his mount from second place. Gayle starts his suspension next Wednesday.
