Sunrise and Heartease United will contest the final of the Dr Fenton Ferguson-sponsored St Thomas Division Two football competition tomorrow at Cotton Tree in Port Morant. Game time is 3 p.m.
Sunrise surprised mid-season winners Ramble in the second semi-final by a 2-0 margin to book their place in the final. This result maintained the tradition that no mid-season winners have gone on to win the competition in the same season.
Heartease, on the other hand, trailed Paul Bogle twice in the game but ended up 4-3 victors. Paul Bogle went 2-0 up early in the first half, aided by poor defending by Heartease with a double strike from Tamar Hall in the 13th and 15th minutes of the game.
Junior Walker pulled one back in the 41st minute for Heartease through a well-taken free kick just outside the penalty area. Heartease equalised in the 16th minute of the second half with a strike from the prolific Gregory Miller from the penalty spot.
Paul Bogle seemed to have clinched the winner with a strike from Kemar McFarlane seven minutes into the extra time, but two goals from Kemar Barrett in the 112th minute and another from Gregory Miller 119th minute ensure the victory for Heartease.
Both teams are desperately seeking to win the final as apart from the prize money of $30,000, the winners will be promoted automatically to the Major League next season.
Corinaldi and Anchovy will contest Monday's final of the INSPORTS/St James Netball Association Primary/Prep league.

In Wednesday's semi-finals, Corinaldi Primary 'A' Corinaldi Primary 'B' 16-10 while Anchovy Primary had a close and exciting 24-22 win over Cambridge Primary.
The JPS-sponsored Hanover Open netball league will have its semi-finals tomorrow at Watson Taylor Park.
Russia will face Sandy Bay in semi-final one at 3 p.m. and Logwood will go up against Green Island Sports Club in semi-final two at 4 p.m.
Meanwhile, Herbert Morrison registered another victory, this time in the JPS-sponsored Intermediate league when they squeezed Lime B 32-18 on Tuesday at the Montego Bay Cricket Club multi-purpose court.
Blazers B gained three points and took over the lead from Nampel due to the no-show of Queens and will now meet Pacers B in today's second semi-final.
Ashley-Rae Barrett 20 goals from 24 attempts and Princess Brown 10 from 12 secured victory for Herbert Morrison, while Iobe Green 13 top-scored for Lime B.
Herbert Morrison, still with a game in hand, will play Nampel in the first semi-final today at Montego Bay Cricket Club at 3 p.m.
The NCB Open Junior Tennis tournament serves off today and continues tomorrow. Matches will be played at the NCB Wellness and Recreation Centre, Tennis Jamaica and Liguanea Club on Saturday with the finals being played at courts at the NCB Wellness and Recreation Centre on Phoenix Avenue tomorrow.
NCB has invested $100,000 in sponsorship funds to help with the staging of the tournament.
Sheree Martin, senior assistant general manager, group marketing and communications division, National Commercial Bank (NCB), said: "We are very excited to be sponsor of the tournament and look forward to what will happen on Saturday and Sunday."
Tennis Jamaica secretary, Christine Gore, thanked NCB for its vision in supporting tennis, even though local support tennis is not robust. Tournament organiser, Llockett McGregor, spoke of his long association with NCB and the reasons he was grateful for its support: "This tournament is very special to me because this is where I actually started playing professional tennis."
Over 60 players have already registered for the championship in over 10 categories and McGregor believes that number will swell to 100 by the close of registration.
Rodwood will look to continue their good form in the Senator Arthur Williams-sponsored Portmore Under-15 Football League as they take on defending champions Wanderers in the opening game of a double-header at the Cumberland playing field on Sunday. Kick-off time is 1:30 p.m.
A win for third-place Rodwood (13) over fourth-place Wanderers (12) will see the Waterford-based club temporarily leading the league with 16 points. But Cumberland, on 15 points, can move to 18, with a victory over Daytona, at the same venue at 3:30 p.m., but that may not be an easy task since Daytona are burning to get back on track after last Saturday's 1-0 loss against Passagefort United. Watson Grove (15), second on goal difference, have the easiest match of the top three, as they will play lowly placed Braeton United at the Watson Grove playing field at 1:30 p.m. In the feature game at that venue, cellar dwellers, Portmore Pines (one), and Westport (zero) square off at 3:30 p.m., while Passagefort United and Christian Pen lock horns at the Passagefort playing field in a game that can go either way.
