Saturday Life was on the set of Courtney John's new video for the singles Lucky Man and I Wanna Get Next You on Sunday, May 24.

The shoot, directed by noted director Ras Tingle, of TD films, was shot from 10 a.m. outside the Ward Theatre in downtown Kingston and ended on a sound stage at the Creative Production and Training Centre (CPTC) on Arnold Road.

According to stylist Charlotte Baker, the video will have an early '60s look. "The ladies in the video are very glam and girly with pearls and dresses, while the men are macho, more laid back."

Director Ras Tingle described the concept of the shoot as having a throwback feel to it. "The songs have a very old-school vibe and there's no school like the old school. We have everything from crazed fans waiting outside his car, depicting an era when people went crazy for music, to backup singers who look a lot like The Supremes."

Courtney John's new album, Made in Jamaica, will hit stores June 17. You can look out for the video on local stations soon and on our YouTube page at www.youtube.com/youthlinkmagazine. But in the meantime, check out these shots!
