EDITORIAL - Yes Minister, but what exactly will you do?
We would say an unfettered hooray for Education Minister Andrew Holness on his observations about the Grade Six Achievement Test (GSAT), published in yesterday's Gleaner, if his analysis were not obvious and had not been made before.

Misplaced jab at cable TV
The Editor, Sir: I heard your columnist Dr Glenda Simms, on prime time, saying cable TV was the source of the lewd, filthy and crude movies that have made children into (premature) adults. Dr Simms should be informed that cable TV is not the rave anymore.
Issue: Education minister is clueless

I am writing this letter in total disagreement to what the minister of education, Andrew Holness, is saying about principals and problems in schools. I strongly believe he is misinformed.
