Olympians minted in gold

Prime Minister Bruce Golding examines the 2008 Beijing Olympic Commemorative Coin presented to him by governor of the Bank of Jamaica, Derick Latibeaudiere, at the Office of the Prime Minister, Jamaica House, St Andrew, on June 5. The central bank minted 500 sets of four souvenir coins featuring gold medallists from the last Olympic Games. The coin presented to the prime minister is a gold proof featuring all seven medallists and carries a face value of $250; the set will be available for sale soon. This is the seventh set of Olympic souvenir coins produced by the BOJ.
