Ardenne are ahead of defending champions Hydel entering today's penultimate day of the three-day Bigga/JISA Inter Prep Schools Track & Field Championship at the National Stadium.

At press time, with two of the three scheduled finals completed, Ardenne had 21.5 points, ahead of Hydel (11), Vaz (9.5), Mona (nine), Mavisville and Our Lady of the Angels (seven each).

Ardenne won both finals, the boys' Class One and Two high jump events with Chevon Ramsy (1.55m) and John-Christoff Pringle (1.41m), respectively.

Amonike Crossdale of Mavisville and Jonathan Sayers both cleared 1.50m, but the former was given second based on countback. Darryl Martin of Vaz Prep was second in the boys' Class Two event with 1.30m, the same height Zion Barrett of defending champion Hydel Prep cleared for third.

Day two will begin with the boys' 400m Class One semi-finals.
