Supreme Court employees arrested
Two employees at the Supreme Court, downtown Kingston, have been arrested following intensive investigations by the police into alleged illegal activities in the registry of the Supreme Court.

One of the workers was held in a sting operation at a restaurant on King Street on Wednesday.

The police escorted the other from the Supreme Court building.

The male employee is being held at the Central Police Station lock-up while the female is in custody at the Duhaney Park lock-up.

There have been reports that for several years a thriving business existed in which members of the public were being asked to pay for the processing of documents, including divorce petitions.

The police were informed of the alleged illegal activities and investigations have been ongoing.
