Isn't it about time that our leaders in government stop taking cues from the church? Aren't we mature enough as a nation to separate church from state? Jamaica will never be able to move forward if we keep bowing to the pressures of the church, which in my opinion, should have no say in how the country is run. Speaking from experience, it is the church that causes the society to be in a moral rot, it is the church leaders who are the most perverse, and should I also add, hypocritical.
For sure, I know you will get into hot water for even attempting to print my letter. I have always believed in the message, but never the messengers. Six days shall thou labour and one to rest. You can rest any day of the week, it does not have to be on a Saturday or a Sunday.
The temple of the Lord is situated in your mind, not in an edifice filled with hypocrites. You don't need to attend a theological seminary to understand what God wants of us. Love and understanding is all that He asks for. Is that too much for church leaders to show?
