The Editor, Sir:

It is with great pleasure that I read the article in The Sunday Gleaner on Ms Allison Pearson, the 24-year-old science graduate, who has decided not to wait for her dream job to come along but to seize the opportunity to become her own boss and to inspire others to do likewise.

It is my hope that more people (young and old) will follow her noble example. Kudos to Ms Pearson and may her 'light' shine on others to give them the inspiration to take matters in their own hands instead of waiting for handouts.
