I feel compelled to write to you thanking you for your uplifting report on the Silver Pen winner, Ainsley Henriques. I usually go to the home page of The Gleaner's website and timidly scan the headlines to select what I want to read. I try to avoid the negatives because I think there is an overkill of bad, news reporting.

It was indeed a fulfilment to read of this great citizen, Ainsley Henriques, making a difference with such a great idea and incorporating the 'green' concept into his mission. There are many more Jamaican citizens around who are making a difference but some parts of the media continue to saturate us with the negatives so that we become immune to dysfunctions in the society.

Again, great selection by highlighting a citizen who is making a difference.
