Meadowbrook student killed in freak accident
A 16-year-old Meadowbrook High School student was killed yesterday morning after a piece of glass from a wardrobe pierced his neck.

Jordan Gilling, who was a fifth former at Meadowbrook, was at his home in Patrick City, St Andrew, when the incident happened.

Investigators said that, about 8:45 this morning, Jordan's sister was heard screaming and calling for her mother.

The police said that, when the mother entered the room, she saw her son's head through the wardrobe door with a piece of the glass protruding from his neck.

It is reported that Jordan was exercising, using gym equipment in his room, when he crashed into the wardrobe.

He was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital where he died. Jordan was due to sit a CXC examination yesterday.
